CTSU Independent Clinical Research Site (CICRS) Initiative
The CTSU has opened its protocol menu to qualified medical, radiation, and surgical oncologists and hematologists within the USA who are not Cooperative Group members through the CTSU Independent Clinical Research Site (CICRS) Initiative. The CICRS program is open to physicians throughout the United States who treat patients with cancer, international participants (who are not Cooperative Group members) are not eligible at this time. This policy allows cancer patients anywhere in the USA to participate more easily in advanced (Phase III) treatment trials.
- Oncologists and hematologists throughout the USA are able to participate with the CTSU
- Before physicians not associated with NCI's Cooperative Group Program can enroll patients in clinical trials, they must meet standards similar to those for Cooperative Group members:
A physician who is interested in becoming a CTSU credentialed investigator through the CICRS program and who is not a member of a Cooperative Group should review the information in the CICRS Fact Pack.
To apply for the CICRS program, please print, complete, and submit the CICRS Application and required supplemental materials listed below:
