About contacting the CTSU:

The CTSU has been designed to be a WEB based operation, thus (with the exception of patient registration and data submission) all registered members are encouraged to communicate with the CTSU via e-mail. All questions will be answered within 2 business days and frequently on the same day if the questioner is in the same time zone.

We realize that there is a great range of internet expertise among our users. To this end, we have developed very specific user instructions for navigating the web site and a list of technical requirements that may be down loaded for use by the local IT user support personnel. Once the user becomes familiar with the website he/she will find instructions on all of the CTSU processes, how to enroll a patient, instructions for IRB submission, data collection, patient education tools, protocol summary sheets and more.

If you are having difficulty accessing information on the web site, please do not hesitate to call.
The CTSU Help Desk will be available by email or phone between the hours of 9 AM - 5:30 PM Eastern Time, Monday - Friday (excluding holidays) Help Desk staff will answer calls directly and forward questions to the appropriate CTSU personnel, as necessary. When all lines are busy and on weekends and holidays, a voice mailbox is available to record your message. It is monitored frequently during business hours. Calls are returned within one business day.

    The CTSU has 2 toll-free numbers:

  • The General Information / Helpdesk number, 1-888-823-5923, will handle general inquiries about the CTSU, including information about clinical studies, investigator registration, and other issues. (Between 9:00 A.M. and 5:30 P.M. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays).

  • The Patient Registrar number, 1-888-462-3009, is specifically for patient enrollment. CTSU Patient Registrar Hours of Operation will be 9 AM – 5:30 PM, Eastern Time, Monday – Friday (excluding holidays). Registrations received after 5:00 PM will be processed the next business day. Continue to fax patient registrations to 1-888-691-8039. For time of need CTSU patient enrollments, call 301-704-2376, 9AM – 5:30 PM. Enrollment processing for the following Group’s studies are limited to the Group’s hours of operation:

    CALGB - 9AM to 4:15PM, ET
    RTOG – 9AM to 4:30PM, ET
    NCCTG- 9AM to 4:30PM, ET (except N0147, online)
    MDA- 9AM-3:45PM, ET
